"...A Compilation of Minimal Wave from Around the World ‘79-‘85. The Hidden Tapes features rare, unreleased, and licensed tracks from as far as Japan and the former Yugoslavia. Most of the bands on this compilation recorded on 4-track tape in their bedroom studios while two of them went further to collaborate by sending tapes through the mail. The sounds on this record range from raw proto-industrial to naive danceable Belgradian new wave, to filmic synthesizer music to more complex, vocal-driven melodic synthpop.

Limited edition of 999 numbered copies, pressed on 180 gram vinyl, and housed in heavy printed jacket accompanied by printed inner jacket with photos and info. Immáron negyedik válogatását hozta napvilágra a 80-as évek szintivilágából táplálkozó népszerű amerikai Minimal Wave kiadó. A fentebb hallható kellemes Danton's Voice felvétel mellett ezúttal csupa középszerű-semmilyen 'elsőemelet' szintipop kapott helyet. A korábbi valóban jól sikerült "Minimal Wave Tapes vol 1" válogatás eladott példányszámával egyenesen arányos sikerélmény ösztönözhette ezt az értelmetlen kompilációt (?). A szubjetív értékítélet mellett a húsvétisták vegyes érzelmekkel tekintenek Veronika Vasicka kiadójára, hiszen olyan remekek újrakiadását is jegyzi, mint a 'Pavillon 7 B'(MW005), az 'ADN' Ckrystall'(MWX002), a 'Circuit 7' (MW018), az 'Oppenheimer Analysis' (MW001), a 'Deux'(MW022), vagy a 'Das Kabinette' (MW10) albumok. Mindezek mellett találhatunk csodálatos hanganyagokból kétségkívül bénán összeválogatott lemezeket is, gondolok itt a Martin Dupont illetve az In Aeternam Vale újrakiadás-kompilációra.
Fontos megemlíteni még hogy az igazi és valamirevaló 'minimal wave' (mint műfaj) érzelmű specialisták, bloggerek, művészek, vinilgyűjtők, lemezboltosok, retrógárdisták első számú gyűjtőhelye a Minimal Wave fóruma.
